Most of the junk in spring cleaning time are the useless electronic devices that pop out of our closets cupboards and drawers but thanks to mobile companies to reduce the burden by coming up with universal chargers. Starting from next year Nokia Motorola Samsung iPhone and RIM have will begin making cell phones with a standard phone charger based on the micro-USB connector. All I wonder as to why sony is not a part of this deal but let’s hope for the best. According to me there are many things that need to be made standard for all the companies to reduce the burden on consumers. Some of them are:

Data Cable

Standard data cable is one of the most important stuff that needs to be made universal. Even mobile phones from same companies have different types of data cables. Micro usb should not only be made as default charging socket but also a data exchange socket.

Standard Earphone jack

Along with the chargers cell phone companies should also standardize their headphones. All the companies come out with different headphones with different connection port and one can’t use a spare headphone from another mobile to a different one. Really a universal 3.5mm headphone jack will surely be a help.

Memory cards

Talking about memory cards I am not only talking about cell phones but about all the digital stuff like camera, pda etc which require memory card support. Surely most of the mobile companies have come down as Micro SD as their standard memory card but Sony is out of the league with its expensive memory card M2 which is not even recognized on any of the non Sony device.

Game Controllers

Different controllers for different consoles why can’t the companies launch a standard controller, I know I am asking way too much but thinking about the ease its nothing much to ask.
