Action speaks more than just words and this complies everywhere, even while chatting online with your family and friends. Orkut recently announced the launch of orkut video chat, an easy way for you and your friends to keep in touch, virtually face-to-face, directly from your orkut pages.

The feature is not yet incorporated in gtalk. To start video conversation user will have to download a small program from www.google.com/chat/video which is available for free. So as I already told action speak louder than world take a look at this video to see how it works:

Installing From Usb

By mentioning “Installing OS from Pen drive easily” I mean that one will not have to go through lengthy steps of codes or tons of 3rd party application before getting  bootable OS pen drive . I assure you will have your Favorite OS bootable installation pen drive with you in not more than 5 clicks.

The Post is divided in two parts former is installing Linux and the later is about installing windows

Linux

To make a bootable installation pendrive of any linux varient make sure you have thee things:-

• A bootable Image (.iso) file of the Linux OS.
• A pendrive (the capacity of pendrive should be 1.5 times that of the image file of OS)
• A free software “UNet bootin” . ( Direct Download link is provided at the end of the post.)
• 5 mins of your valuable time.

Now all you need to do is to run the program and select a distribution, floppy/hard disk image, or kernel/initrd to load, select a target drive (USB Drive or Hard Disk), then reboot once done.

Windows

1. Plug in your pen drive.
2. Open UltraISO as Administrator (right-click shortcut, “Run as Administrator”)
3. Open the CD/DVD image file you want to write to pendrive in this instance of UltraISO (File>Open).
4. Under the Bootable menu, select Write Disk Image.
5. A new dialog should open up, listing your pen drive(s).
6. Select the pendrive you want to write your image to.
7. Set the Write Method to USB-HDD (or USB-HDD+ if your BIOS supports it).
8. Click the Write button, and then click Yes/OK in the warning dialog (All data on this drive will be destroyed ……. do you want to continue) that pops up.
9. Sit back, relax and enjoy a drink.

Most of us are aware of twitter, I suppose all of us. We tweet anything and everything we come across. Now there is a new service that allows you to share your thoughts in much more interacting way “Stickrs” .It is an amazing tool to comment anything on the web, to share your ideas with your friends or to leave a note for yourself. Stickr lets you track your friends online activity, let them track yours, discuss websites, leave opinions, warnings, greetings, use rich media comments -anywhere, meet new people and have fun.

To be very frank in explaining you can refer it to sticky notes on the World Wide Web. The side button you see on the left-hand side of the screen lets you to add sticker so that others can read and comment on it. Stickr follows the same rules as that of twitter – The followers – Whatever you comment on the World Wide Web through stickr your update is forwarded to all your followers to spread the word.

There is a Firefox plugin that helps the user to stick any comment anywhere. They also provide applications for webpages and professional blogging website.

Personally I liked the new approach to spread the word which is very interactive in nature. Although it has a small problem when comparing to twitter i.e. currently there are no applications for your portable device to let you comment on the go, apart from that this service is worth a shot

As I talked with you guys about Orkut’s latest feature “Orkut Promote”. Orkut launched its new version. Yes, its a beta version till all the bugs are reported. Orkut this time has found a new way to promote “itself” .Rather rolling over the new version to all its users , Orkut is starting campaigning and innovating various contests so that Orkut users can tell it about to their friend and families and so their promotion will do its magic .

There are three types of gprs service provided by Airtel. The first one is Airtel live which comes pre-activated with the sim and charge you for every page you browse, next is Airtel NOP(Net on Pack ) through which you can browse ion your phone at a monthly rental of Rs 100/- , and lastly Airtel Mobile Office which gives you unlimited browsing and download at monthly rental of around Rs 500/-. Though Airtel customer care tell you that you can not connect the NOP service using your desktop or laptops you can use your systems to browse the net. Here is a simple trick to use NOP from your windows.I have grouped the procedure into parts for better explanation.

• Requirements
  • Nokia Pc suit installed on your system.
  • Phone connectivity cable .
  • Airtel NOP activated on youur phone with the configuration settings saved on your phone.
  • Ultrasurl(to bypass airtel proxy server). If you don’t have this software download link is provided below.
• Connecting
  • connect phone to PC using Nokia Pc Suite and next connect to internet.
  • In setting of connect to internet choose your phone from list and click next, now go for manual configuration there and in the access point enter “airtelwap.com” leave all the fields blank and connect, your phone will now be connected to PC to access net.
  • Don,t worry if you see limited or no connectivity in the status window of the connection the solution to this is in the next step.
• Configuring The Proxy Server
  • Now open Firefox , you can use internet explorer if you want but i prefer firefox , and compete the folloing steps
  • click on Tools –> Options -> Advanced –> settings.
  • In the connection settings window check on manual proxy settings and provide following ip address and host and port.
  • Proxy address :- 100.1.200.99 as host and 8080 as port.
  • open google.com . if every thing went fine the page will load in no time.
• Bypassing Proxy Server
  • There are many webpages that are blocked by airtel proxy server. Dont worry all you need to do is to download and run ultrasurf. It will bypass the proxy server and open any webpage you want.

Recently I was irritated a lot due to the Generic Host Process Due to Windows Services, which always encountered problem. Due to this error both my sound card driver and network connection adapters failed to respond as if the drivers are not installed on the system. The only option left with me was to restart my pc so as to again connect to network or hear media through my sound card. Now i don’t know why the problem was caused because I scanned my system with the latest virus definition of kaspersky with out any detection but I certainly know how to fix the problem now.
